Service Provider
- Which app should I download customer or service provider?
Both, as a service provider you will need the service provider app to get started, however for all the services you don’t provide we recommend you download the customer app also.
- Is the app available on my device?
Yes, Fix4x is available to all devices IPod, IPad, IPhone and all Android devices. Using Google Play for android and the App Store for IPhone.
- How much will it cost me?
There are currently 4 price levels with the most expensive working out at €3.49 for 10 points (a view).
- How do I contact customers?
If you have registered to Fix4x when a customer in your area makes a job request you will be notified through the app. Then if you think the job is suitable you use your points to view contact details and provide a quote.
- What categories do I select?
Categories selected will depend on the service you can provide. If you cater for more than one category you can select two, or all of them if you can provide the service.
E.g. If you are an electrician who can also service appliances, boilers and heaters then tick boxes beside electric, appliances and HVAC.
- What details are required to sign up?
To sign up as a service provider we need your:
- Name
- Phone number
- E-mail address
- Company name
- Company phone number (if applicable)
- Location you operate
- And the services you provide
- How will my customers know where I am?
When you are signing up to Fix4x you will be required to give your location by dropping a pin at your business address on the map provided, be as accurate as you can to prevent receiving requests outside your local area.
- Should I upload a business profile picture?
Yes, absolutely we recommend you update your profile regularly with profile pictures and customer reviews this will help you stay connected and encourage customers to engage with your business.
- What are push notifications?
Push notifications should be accepted, they are important for service providers as once a request is made you will be notified through the app if push notifications are off then you could miss your chance at a new customer!
- Should I let the app track my location?
Yes, as you change locations you will receive requests for your local area making location tracking a vital part of the app.

- Will this app be available on my smart phone?
Fix4x can be found on Google Play & App Store and is compatible with most devices.
- Which Fix4X app should I download?
If you don’t provide any services, then we recommend you stick to the customer app.
- How much will it cost to use this app?
It won’t cost you a cent, Fix4x is totally free for customers.
- How will I know if the service providers are good?
Each service provider has a unique profile which comes attached with reviews and ratings from previous customers, it’s for this reason that we encourage reviews from both customers and service providers.
- What details are required to sign up?
As a customer, we need very few details just your name, phone number and address.
- What are the categories listed?
There are 12 main categories listed which then have further sub-categories to further define your request. The categories are as follows:

- Why is my address needed?
An accurate address is important as an incorrect address will send your request to service providers not operating in your local area.
- When can I use the app?
Fix4x works 24 hours a day 365 days a year, although the response time will be quickest during working hours, however you can make a request whenever you feel like it.
- Do I need push notifications?
Yes, if you don’t accept push notifications you could miss service providers offering to complete your request.
